In addition, students in the BA program must complete 13 credits in one foreign language. Students in the BS program with a Psychology Major must complete at least 37 credits in the Department of Psychological Sciences.

Cognitive Neuroscience Concentration provides an in-depth knowledge of relationships between mind and brain. Coursework considers the neurobiological basis for psychological functions. There’s in-depth study of specialized topics relating to higher cognitive processes, including:

- perception and emotion
Lifespan Development Concentration provides a deeper understanding of cognitive and physiological changes occurring over the lifespan with a focus on older adulthood. A major goal is providing students with an understanding of the similarities and differences in development at different stages of the lifespan
Reading, Language and Language Acquisition Concentration provides students with a broad based knowledge of linguistic development. Coursework studies development of written and spoken language
Experimental Psychopathology Concentration provides knowledge how psychologists study mental disorders. Students of the concentration gain develop a deeper appreciation for conceptual and methodological issues key to research in psychopathology
